In Love with Life

In September we were able to pay off the car! We are so thankful to have accomplished this and would not have been able to without God blessing us with 2 great jobs. So as a reward for ourselves for paying off the car, we went and got a new toy: a 60" Sony Bravia LED TV. This might seem a little excessive to some people, but TV and movies are our cheap hobby right now, and we have wanted a big screen for awhile. The TV is great!! Being about as unskilled with any form of technology as your average 80 year old, I don't know all of the tricks it can do yet. Dwayne has shown me that we can use it to get on the internet and stream movies directly through the TV. Football games are a whole new experience now!

Also in September, we had some visitors: Dwayne's sister, her husband, and their (then) 9 month old twins. We had a great time with them, and we're really looking forward to watching the twins open their gifts at Christmas.

We have been busy again this month with a lot of different things. For the first weekend of the month we went to Knoxville because Dwayne had to work. We stayed with some friends and celebrated my father-in-law's birthday. For the second weekend, my parents came over for a visit. We got take out from 12 Bones for lunch (which they loved!) and Mom and I shopped while Dad and Dwayne watched football. We then took them downtown and to Asheville Pizza and Brewery. We had a lot of fun. Downtown Asheville is always fun because you never know what you'll see. Octoberfest was that weekend, and we saw some people dressed up and beligerent.

The next weekend was when we got the TV, and my friend Lindsey and her daughter Alyssa came over to carve pumpkins. My dumb pumpkin already rotted. Apparently there is a narrow time frame of when you can carve it if you want it to last til Halloween.

This weekend my friends Amber and Liz from UT and DZ are coming to visit with their husbands. We are going to Biltmore on Saturday. I hope to update soon with some pics of our day!

Fun facts: This year October has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. This only happens about once every 832 years. Also, this year we had October 10, 2010 (10/10/10). I found these facts to be kinda cool, being the nerd that I am.
